Not All Candles Are Created Equal. Why We Burn Better.

At New Flame, we wax lyrical about our elegant scent stories so let’s delve into the wax itself. What’s the difference between a natural wax like beeswax and synthetic wax like paraffin wax? Here’s some insight into how candle compositions differ and why we choose a natural blend of soy wax, coconut wax and beeswax for our New Flame products.

The Problem with Ordinary Candles

Many candles on the market are made from paraffin wax - a petroleum by-product.
When burned, paraffin can release toxins and chemical residues into your space and even mark your walls with soot. They burn faster and hotter, meaning the scent doesn't unfold gently. It floods the air quickly and fades fast.

This is the very antithesis of the calm and purity that candles are meant to bring.

Our perfumiers in Grasse, France knew there was a better way.

We chose a luxurious, natural wax blend of soy wax, coconut wax, and beeswax - each selected for its unique strengths:

  • Soy Wax - A clean-burning, sustainable ingredient offering a smooth, steady burn

  • Coconut Wax - Creamy and slow-burning, it enhances the candle’s texture and helps soften the fragrance as it fills the space.

  • Beeswax - Air-purifying when burned, helping to clear dust and impurities from the air.

The New Flame Difference

Choosing a New Flame candle means choosing:

  • A cleaner, slower, more refined burn

  • A fragrance experience that evolves naturally over time

  • A ritual that supports wellbeing as much as elevated aesthetics

We believe luxury is felt in the details, including the things you can’t see, but always sense.
